Rep. Matt Hudson appointed to cancer council, CCRAB

State Representative Matt Hudson is now a member of the Florida Cancer Control & Research Advisory Council (CCRAB).

He was appointed by House Speaker Will Weatherford effective August 1.

CCRAB advises state leaders including the Governor and Surgeon General on cancer trends and looks at ways to provide more effective treatment and prevention. The council also advocates positions on legislation and policy related to cancer research and treatment.

Hudson also serves on several House committees including as chair of the Health Care Appropriations Subcommittee and Vice Chair of the Select Committee on Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
