There’s a lot of discussion tonight (the Times‘ Adam Smith does so here; I blogged about it here) Florida Democrats apparent advantage in absentee and early voting.
Following up on that discussion, Kevin Akins of Hamilton Campaigns sends this visualization of the Democrats’ advantage. Akins and Co. note:
- Democrats have a significant early vote turnout advantage in South Florida
- Democrats are continually increasing their turnout advantage in large, urban counties across the state
- Democratic turnout is strengthening, despite the truncated early vote period — many counties are posting higher turnout numbers on weekdays than reported on the opening weekend of early vote
