Former Atlanta mayor Andrew Young to work on GOTV for Gibbons…and other thoughts on Deveron’s campaign

Rumors are flying around so quickly, there isn’t enough time for separate posts on all the news coming out of the St. Petersburg Mayoral Race. A few tidbits from the Deveron Gibbons’ campaign:

Word is that former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young will be rallying black voters for Gibbons during several GOTV stops at African American churches next Sunday.

Gibbons’ media consultant Adam Goodman said on the TV program Florida This Week that he “just saw a new poll that show the difference between first and fourth place is less than four points.”

The venerable David Zachem was bodymanning Gibbons this past weekend at Rep. Darryl Rouson’s wildly successful Back-to-School event. This was the second major event from which Gibbons’ campaign manager Nick Hansen was noticeably absent. So where is Nick Hansen?
