The public is invited to help Mayor Foster celebrate the two-year anniversary of Mayor’s Night Out with one-on-one conversation at the Willis S. Johns Center on Thursday, February 9. The community program kicked off in February 2010 and has remained popular with residents who want to share thoughts and questions with the Mayor and city staff but can’t make it to City Hall. Mayor Foster, city administrators, city staff, Police Chief Chuck Harmon and Fire Chief Jim Large will be on hand to listen, answer questions and resolve issues at 6 p.m. at the center, 6635 Dr. M.L. King Jr. St. N.
Mayor’s Night Out is held in each of the eight Council districts during January-April and August-November. Residents are invited to attend, regardless of where they live in the city.
