Gourmet market to open June 24 in former space of Atlanta Bread

Messineo’s Gourmet Market opens June 24 downtown.  Want to shop during lunch?  Check off your list, schedule a time for home delivery, head back to the office.  The store in the former Atlanta Bread Co. spot at 179 First Ave. N. will have a bakery, grass-fed beef and organic poulty, local seafood, cured meats, artisan cheeses, specialty bulk foods, sandwiches, deli salads and coffee and tea.

Jim Mason, chief executive  and one of the owners, was store director at the Wild Oats Market on N. Dale Mabry in Tampa. The market will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.  For more information, visit
