Gov. Scott tells Sen. Nelson he may be open to high-speed rail if state is held harmless

I won’t believe it until I see it, but it sounds like Gov. Rick Scott is leaving open just enough of a crack to, um, drive a high-speed train through…from the Buzz:

Sen. Bill Nelson ran into Gov. Rick Scott at the Daytona 500 and pressed him high speed rail. Scott said he would be opening to learning more about a plan that removes any risk to the state — a sliver of opportunity for rail advocates — but remains highly skeptical.

“The governor does not believe they can produce a plan that would hold the state completely harmless,” spokesman Brian Burgess said.
