I hate to say this but I actually feel sorry for Gov. Rick Scott after watching the “Donut” video

At this point, I think my credentials criticizing Gov. Rick Scott are well-established, so, please don’t give me any gruff about what I am about to say…

Watch the video of Rick Scott during his ‘get-to-work’ and it’s hard not to feel sorry for Rick Scott, on a basic, human level.  You’ll see a man who, at least today, tried to be a better person.

No, that’s not going to make up for all of the disastrous public policy decisions the governor has made.  Decisions which deserve this kind of protest.  (And it was me who argued not to let the foot off the governor’s proverbial throat.)

Still, I can’t help but feel sorry for Rick Scott as he tries to grin his way through this very public shaming. I can’t help feel sorry for all of us in Florida – led by a man who tried to find purpose and solace in a donut shop.
