Former Arkansas First Lady Janet Huckabee, wife of Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee, will address the Florida Federation of Republican Women at its Orlando convention at noon Saturday.
The FFRW Biennial Convention begins Friday afternoon, and goes on through Sunday, at the Doubletree by Hilton, located at the entrance to Universal Studios, 5780 Major Blvd in Orlando.
An avid hunter and a marathon runner, Huckabee was dubbed “First Tomboy” by her husband during his tenure as Arkansas governor from 1996 to 2007.
Chartered in 1950, the FFRW is a network of over 50 GOP women’s clubs throughout the state, to promote participation in the political process. The state group is part of a nationwide grassroots organization that boasts nearly 100,000 members.
