Maybe the University of Florida signed the wrong Driskell.

Maybe they should have waited for Jason Driskell instead.

Driskell threw for 287 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Florida Atlantic Owls to a 38-30 victory over Southern Illinois Saturday night. Driskell also ran for a two-yard touchdown on a fourth-and-two to give FAU a 28-24 lead.

For SIU, Josh Straughan threw for 367 yards.

Gregory Howell ran for 128 yards for FAU, averaging 8.2 yards per carry.

The Owls play against Miami next Saturday night.
