Justice: Senate passes Brody Bill in first hours of 2012

The Senate has passed two claims bills, the first bills to pass in the 2012 legislative session. The Senate voted 37-2 to approve a $10.75 million settlement with Eric Brody, who was injured in a car accident with a sheriff’s deputy. It also voted 39-1 to award $1.35 million to William Dillon, who was wrongly imprisoned for 27 years.
