That was the breaking news on the Bay Buzz this afternoon. And, honestly, it was nice for them to have a story that included the word “police” that did not involve me.
Evidently, longshot candidate Paul Congemi was charged with trespassing after getting into a (possibly racist) shouting match with employees of the Colonel. St. Pete police responded to the store manager’s request to have dear ol’ Paul booted from the bucket. According to the police report Congemi even said: “Dont touch me. I am running for mayor and once I get elected you will be fired.” The Bay Buzz even got a great react quote from Congemi about not caring about being banned from KFC, saying, “My mother makes a lot of chicken at home. I don’t need their chicken.”
Sounds like a great story on a slow, rainy news day.
Except the story has vanished. If you go to the site or to the link where the story was and nothing is there.
So, it’s 6:41 p.m. and I want to know what happened to the great Kentucky Fried Congemi story?
Update (8:43 p.m.): Just remembered Bay Buzz editor Heather Uriquedes is on vaca this week (allegedly)…so someone else is in charge this week of the BB and decided to pull the story?
