The Tampa Bay Lightning started their second period off with a quick goal and a tie score Sunday night.
It lasted 12 whole seconds.
The Los Angeles Kings took care of the Lightning 3-1 in the final game of the Bolts’ California trip as Tampa Bay’s goaltending faltered.
Brian Boyle scored to tie the game 1-1 only 27 seconds into the second period, but Brayden McNabb scored 12 seconds later as the Kings took the lead. Andrei Vasilevskiy started in goal for the Lighting, but he gave up two goals on 10 shots, and after McNabb’s goal, coach Jon Cooper went to Ben Bishop, who had cut his right eye the night before against the Sharks.
