Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman gave a lot of money to his star players this off-season. He did not forget about the the rest of the roster, however.
Yzerman signed forward Alex Killorn to a seven-year contract extension on Sunday.
Killorn, 26, scored 14 goals last season and added five more in the post-season. He tied for fourth in goals and points on the team. In all, Killorn has scored 53 goals and 15 goals in the playoffs.
Yzerman’s biggest remaining challenge appears to be signing forward Nikita Kucherov.
