Just noticed this listing on Monster.com…the St. Petersburg Times is hiring a digital audience specialist:
In this newly created full-time position, this person will weigh in on strategy and do hands-on work to leverage our editorial and advertising content more fully and to improve the customer experience. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in analyzing and tracking metrics using tools such as Omniture, as well as employing SEO/SEM and social media tactics for audience growth and engagement.
Presumably, whoever fills this position will be filling the shoes of Karen McAlister, who I reported had left the Times last month.
