Mayor’s Night Out,’ the popular program started in January to bring City Hall into the community, travels south for its first meeting after a summer hiatus. Mayor Foster, city administrators, department heads, and the police and fire chiefs will be available to answer questions and listen to residents’ comments at the Lake Vista Recreation Center, 1401 62nd Ave. S, Thursday, August 12, at 7 p.m.
Residents are invited to bring issues they may have with the city or share comments with Mayor Foster and department representatives during the evening. Some of the departments on hand for Mayor’s Night Out’ include: Codes Compliance Assistance; the Business Assistance Center; Billing & Collections; Sanitation; Green Initiatives; Water Resources; Neighborhood Partnership; Veterans, Social & Homeless Services; Libraries; Parks & Recreation; Economic Development; and Parking & Transportation. Demonstrations of online services available to residents will be provided, as well as how to access city services or get information about city programs. All city residents are invited to attend.
