As U.S. Senate Candidate Kendrick Meek’s historic petition drive comes to an end, former Tampa mayor Sandra Freedman, State Representative Janet Cruz, Tampa City Council Chairman Thomas Scott, Tampa City Council Members Linda Saul-Sena and Gwen Miller and Meek campaign volunteers will submit the final Hillsborough County petitions to the Supervisor of Elections office Monday, March 29 10 a.m. Prior to submitting the final petitions, the group will hold a media availability outside the Frederick B. Karl County Center. By Monday, the Kendrick Meek for Florida Campaign will have submitted over 112,476 petitions to qualify for the ballot and has already submitted Florida’s 67 counties.
