Mike Fasano not alone in anger at NFL blackouts

Frustrated by the NFL blacking out home games of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and other teams, state Sen. Mike Fasano filed a bill this month that would fine clubs $125,000 for each game not televised to local viewers.

But the New Port Richey Republican is not alone in his frustration. The Hill reports that groups representing sports fans have asked the Federal Communications Commission to end a longstanding rule that allows sports leagues to black out games locally when tickets go unsold.
