More fundraising notes: Diaz, Renier DLP battle; Rodriguez leads in HD 112 & Diaz leads Logan

The fundraising tallies keep pouring in from over the weekend.  Here is an update on three interesting South Florida races via the News Service of Florida:

In HD 103, former Rep. Renier Diaz de la Portilla, R-Miami, collected $37,450 in contributions during the year’s second quarter, narrowly outpacing fellow Republican Manny Diaz Jr. in House District 103. Diaz, of Hialeah, raised $34,200 and has an overall total of $86,776. Diaz de la Portilla has a total of $77,035.

In HD 112, Miami Democrat Jose Javier Rodriguez raised $22,788 during year’s second quarter, giving him a total of $70,153 and extending his lead over two former Republican lawmakers in House District 112. Former Rep. Gus Barreiro, of Miami, collected $21,270 during the quarter and has a total of $29,761. Former Rep. and Sen. Alex Diaz de la Portilla, also of Miami, raised $10,250 and has a total of $18,850. Another Democrat, Alex Dominguez of Miami, has brought in an overall amount of $13,625.

In HD 116, in a contest between two incumbent Republicans, Rep. Jose Felix Diaz has taken a big fund-raising lead over fellow Rep. Ana Rivas Logan in House District 116, campaign-finance reports show. Diaz, of Miami, raised $81,225 during the past three months, giving him a total of $243,835. Rivas Logan, also of Miami, collected $19,025 and has raised $138,470 overall. The incumbents are running against each other because of new district boundaries.
