New FDP ad explains exactly why Rick Scott refused to debate

Florida Democrats released a new ad today holding Rick Scott accountable for refusing to debate Charlie Crist over something as trivial as a fan.

“Absent” is the new spot from the Florida Democratic Party which begins hitting the airwaves this weekend. The 30-second video can also be seen on YouTube.

“No wonder Rick Scott doesn’t want to debate Charlie Crist,” said FDP Executive Director Scott Arceneaux. “He cut education by $1.3 billion, raised property taxes, and let utilities hike rates on middle class families.

Arceneaux added that Scott’s “absurd” refusal to debate — and his lies yesterday denying he refused — are a “smokescreen” for his record as governor and CEO that he is desperate to hide.

“With this new ad,” he said, “we are ensuring Floridians know just what Rick Scott is afraid of.”
