Patrick Murphy’s latest ad says he’s the “only candidate who has created jobs”

Patrick Murphy’s campaign has begun airing its fifth television ad of the general election, a spot asserting that the Democrat is “the only candidate who’s created jobs.”

Entitled “Truth,” the 30-second spot points out Rep. Allen West’s votes to provide tax breaks for large corporations who send American jobs overseas, reports Nora McAlvanah of FLDemocracy2012.com.

“Patrick Murphy’s protected American jobs, fired subcontractors who outsourced,” the narrator says in the spot. “West voted to cut billions in taxes for corporations sending jobs to China and Mexico. Newspapers called West ‘ineffective’ and ‘all that’s wrong with Congress.’”

“West’s continual attacks on Patrick Murphy’s family’s business are completely false and a desperate attempt to distract from West’s non-existent job-creation record,” said Murphy’s communications director Erin Moffet in a release announcing the new spot.
