Maybe it’s the end of Summer or the beginning of Fall, but whatever the reason, there are several personnel notes to pass along:

Jackie Schutz, a top-notch communications operative who had been working at CoreMessage, will be Deputy Press Secretary to Governor Rick Scott. Prior to working at CoreMessage, She got her undergraduate degree from Florida State in political science and religion. While still at FSU, Schutz worked in Gov. Jeb Bush’s press office and in the Office of External Affairs. While she was in England, she worked in the House of Commons, and then returned to this country to intern in the George W. Bush White House in the Office of Scheduling and Appointments. She’s also worked at 180 Consulting and in U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen’s office. On the campaign front, she worked for Rudy Giuliani in 2008 and the George W. Bush campaign in 2004.

Even though he says he had a great gig with David Ramba’s consulting firm, John Holley could not resist going to work for Paul Hamilton’s offer to work for Florida Power and Light where he will be Director of State Legislative Affairs.

The talented John McBride, formerly a senior contract auditor for the FDOT, is now the executive director of RESPECT of Florida, which helps state and local government agencies purchase products and services they need and at the same time employ persons with disabilities.

Peter Schorsch is the President of Extensive Enterprises and is the publisher of some of Florida’s most influential new media websites, including SaintPetersBlog.com, FloridaPolitics.com, ContextFlorida.com, and Sunburn, the morning read of what’s hot in Florida politics. SaintPetersBlog has for three years running been ranked by the Washington Post as the best state-based blog in Florida. In addition to his publishing efforts, Peter is a political consultant to several of the state’s largest governmental affairs and public relations firms. Peter lives in St. Petersburg with his wife, Michelle, and their daughter, Ella.
