Pinellas teachers to stand with Charlie Crist during Thursday announcement

From the Gradebook: Expect to see teachers alongside Gov. Charlie Crist when he appears at St. Petersburg’s Straub Park Thursday at 5 p.m. The longtime Republican is expected to announce his intent to run for U.S. Senate as an independent.

Robin Haines, assistant to the Pinellas Classroom Teachers Association president, said at least 15 local teachers will be on stage with the governor. And countless others will participate from the audience.
