Planners for the 2012 RNC shouldn’t worry just about hurricanes, they should worry about prostitutes, says Sandy Murman

While state emergency responders begin a statewide hurricane training session at the Emergency Operations Center in Tallahassee. The four-day event will follow a mock hurricane, “Hurricane Gispert,” making landfall in the Tampa Bay area during a “special event with increased population.”

Sort of like the Republican National Convention in August.

But don’t just worry about the hurricanes; it’s prostitutes RNC planners should be worried about.

“Conventions like this, they bring in large numbers of prositutes,” said Hillsborough County Commissioner Murman last week.

Actually, Murman had a good point or at least good intentions. When she made that comment she was asking for support for a local effort to crack down on human trafficking.
