The Tampa Bay Rays have found themselves a bit of help with a trade.
But only a bit.
The Rays acquired Oswaldo Arcia, 25, from the Minnesota Twins. He is hitting .214 with four home runs in 32 games. Over his four years with the Twins, Arcia is batting .240. He was second on the team with 20 home runs two years ago.
The trade would seem to end any speculation about Carl Crawford returning to the Rays.
Tampa Bay is hobbling in the outfield. Kevin Kiermaier, Steven Souza, Brandon Guyer and Mikie Mahtook are all on the disabled list.
