Rep. Mack Bernard files to run for State Senate Distrcit 27 seat; Rep. Weinstein files for District 4

Rep. Mack Bernard, D-West Palm Beach, filed paperwork Monday to run in a newly configured Senate district, setting up a potential primary fight against Rep. Jeff Clemens, D-Lake Worth. Bernard would run in District 27, which is in eastern Palm Beach County. Clemens filed to run in the district last week.  Also, The Florida Times-Union reported (via the News Service of Florida) that Rep. Mike Weinstein, R-Jacksonville, will run for a Northeast Florida Senate seat. Weinstein would face former Rep. Aaron Bean, R-Fernandina Beach, in a District 4 primary.
