In his march towards becoming Florida House Speaker, Rep. Richard Corcoran opened a campaign account this week for his 2016 re-election run, according to the state Division of Elections.

The Land O’ Lakes Republican was unopposed this year in House District 37, which covers much of Pasco County. If re-elected in 2016, he will be next in line for House speaker later that year.

Corcoran is now the 36th candidate who has so far filed initial paperwork for a 2016 House run.
