in Sports/Top Headlines by

Bowl bids will not officially be announced until Sunday afternoon, but an early leak has the University of South Florida going to Miami.

According to a report by ESPN, which operates the bowl, USF would play Dec. 21 in the Miami Beach Bowl against Western Kentucky.

An added footnote to the game would be Willie Taggart coaching against his former Western team, where he coached and quarterbacked. Western plays against Southern Miss for the Conference USA title o\in Saturday’s playoff game.

“That would be cool,” Taggart told The Tampa Tribune. “That would give you guys something to write about.”

The Bulls finished their season by winning seven out of eight games.
