Republican Governors Association give another $500K to Rick Scott

“Let’s Get to Work,” the political committee backing Gov. Rick Scott received another $500K from the Republican Governors Association on Monday. The contribution brings the RGA donations to $18.3 million, according to finance reports filed Tuesday.

The latest money, to aid Scott’s bid for a second term, came ads RGA chair and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie finished a two-day Florida campaign tour Monday.

“Work” has raised about $45.75 million in total, spending about $42.66 million.

At the same time, “Charlie Crist for Florida,” the political committee supporting Democratic opponent Crist, reported adding another $250,250 on Monday. The committee now has an overall total of more than $29.72 million, reports show. The committee also spent $24.67 million to date.
