And in other Rick Kriseman news, the Mayor will throw out first pitch at upcoming Rays game

While most of the news coming from St. Petersburg City Hall deals with Mayor Rick Kriseman’s hiring of Anthony Holloway to be the next Chief of Police, 10 News’ Noah Pransky reports that another serious development is underway…

Mayor Kriseman will throw out the first pitch at an upcoming Tampa Bay Rays game.

During Saturdays’s game vs. the Boston Red Sox, Kriseman will take to the mound — something a St. Petersburg mayor has not done since in four years.

In those four years, Pransky notes, Bob Buckhorn has thrown out a Rays’ first pitch twice.

Of course, it is City/County Appreciation Night on Saturday, so it makes sense for Kriseman to make an appearance.

Might Incoming Chief Holloway be in attendance as well?
