I always like it when good things happen to good people. In this case, it’s good things happening to a great person.

Sarah Bascom was officially introduced as a new board member for the Economic Club of Florida today at their monthly meeting at the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center.

Since its establishment in 1977, the Economic Club of Florida has become recognized as one of the South’s most important forums for distinguished speakers on issues of the day. The club’s membership of more than 400 includes leaders from government, higher education and the business community.

As many readers of SaintPetersBlog are aware, Bascom is the president of Bascom Communications & Consulting LLC. As a public relations and political communications expert with more than a decade of experience, Bascom has advised many of the state’s largest corporations and trade associations and most noted elected officials on crisis management, strategic messaging, media management and public affairs campaigns

Bascom’s successful tenure in the political communications and the public affairs arena in Florida stems from her on-the-ground experience and training working with Florida’s high-profile issues, political landscape, Capitol Press Corps and  media outlets throughout the state.

Oh, and one other nice piece of news for the BCC team, it was named one of the American Association of Political Consultant’s All-Stars for its work during the 2012 election cycle.

Good stuff, indeed!
