The Seattle Seahawks have gotten off to a slow start this season. The Detroit Lions, however, seemed to be stopped.
Both teams try to take a step toward recovery against the other on Monday night football.
The 1-2 Seahawks play host to the 0-3 Lions tonight. Detroit is trying to avoid its first 0-4 start since 2010, but it won’t be easy. Seattle has been in the last two Super Bowls and has won seven games in a row at home. Quarterback Russell Wilson always seems to play well in prime time. He’s 4-0 with nine touchdown passes and no interceptions on Monday night.
Detroit has gotten off to a terrible start. The Lions are giving up 27.7 points per game and 396 yards.
The offense has been even worse, averaging only 45 yards on the ground.
For the Lions, it will be difficult to turn around the season. Only three teams have made the post-season in 25 years after starting off 0-3.
Seattle started the season 0-2, but beat the Chicago Bears 26-0 last week. The Seahawks will try to add to the Lions problems on the offensive line and further the duress that quarterback Matt Stafford has been under.
