Sen. Bullard requests investigation into armor-piercing ammo supply pipeline

Armor-piercing bullets are illegal to possess, manufacture or sell in Florida, however according to Senator Dwight Bullard, an illegal pipeline has made South Florida neighborhood streets “flush with armor piercing military-grade ammunition” and he has called upon Governor Rick Scott and Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate.

Bullard, in a letter, requested that Scott use the powers of his office to instruct the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) to “join with local and county law enforcement and begin an investigation into the illegal supply pipeline of deadly ammunition freely flowing into these communities.”

Scott’s office responded in a statement which thanked Bullard for his input and cited Florida’s 41-year low crime rate, along with the Governor’s support of the 2nd Amendment rights of Floridians.

Bondi responded with a letter to Bullard saying that FDLE would be reaching out to him next week.
