Sorry, Kim McDougal, but I don’t think Charlie Crist raised your tuition

Now, I have to go easy on this one, lest I get an ashtray thrown my way the next time I visit the Governors Club…

To he right is a picture of Kim McDougal, the Education Policy Coordinator in Governor Rick Scott’s Office of Policy and Budget. The photo was taken at the Tallahassee kick-off of Charlie Crist’s bus tour to touting his plan to restore what he says are Gov. Scott’s cuts to education funding. Obviously, this is an issue dear to McDougal’s heart, so, assuming she is on leave from state government, it’s understandable to see her protesting a critic of her boss’ education policies.

However, according to McDougal’s Linkedin profile, she received her Ph.D. in 1991 — approximately 15 years before Crist was in the Governor’s Mansion. Unless, she is back in school (a double doctorate maybe?), it’s difficult to understand how Charlie Crist raised her tuition.

Certainly there were other signs produced by the interns at the Republican Party of Florida which McDougal could have held above her head.
