Following the passage of the 2013-2014 budget and the conclusion of Legislative Session, Sepaker-Designate Steve Crisafulli praised the Legislature for its hard work.

โ€œToday, the Legislature passed a responsible, balanced budget that includes no tax or fee increases and shows our strong commitment to a world-class education for Florida students, strengthening the health care safety net for our most vulnerable citizens, and ensuring law enforcement has the tools it needs to keep Floridians safe,” he said.

โ€œThis year, we were able to work with Governor Scott on a host of issues, from rewarding our teachers and state employees with salary increases, and reducing the tax burden on manufacturers so they can create more jobs for Floridians, to passing landmark ethics, elections, and campaign finance reforms, and by passing historic Everglades restoration legislation that will protect Florida’s natural treasure for decades to come.

โ€œI applaud Speaker Weatherford, President Gaetz, and Governor Scott for their leadership in bringing the 2013 Legislative Session to a successful conclusion.โ€

Crisafulli served as the vice chair of House Appropriations, chair of the State Affairs Committee, and vice chair of the Budget Conference – At Large.
