The 2013 Future of Florida Forum is quickly approaching, set for October 14th to 16th at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Presented by the Florida Chamber Foundation, this conference brings leaders from across the state together to address topics of economic recovery and employment.
Beginning on Sunday, bring family to enjoy discounted tickets to Disney Parks and golf as a warm up to the days to follow. Monday begins with meetings of the International Business Council and Florida Chamber Foundation Board of Trustees, and continues at 11:00 a.m. for general registration. A 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. summit on Trade & Logistics focuses on positioning business for domestic and internal success; and a 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. summit on Healthcare brings together healthcare and insurance experts for a discussion on “bending the cost curve” and the Affordable Care Act. A welcome reception follows at 5:30 p.m.
Then, on Tuesday morning, at 8:00 .a.m., the Future of Florida Forum officially kicks off with a breakfast briefing. At 9:45 a.m. a discussion on present and future issues for job-makers ensues, followed by a keynote luncheon and a 2:30 talk on “moving Florida forward.” Another networking reception follows at 5:30 p.m.
Finally, on Wednesday, an 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. summit is held on “protecting the future of free enterprise” in which Florida’s Cabinet and state and congressional leaders will brief on issues impacting Florida businesses bottom-line.
