Some of the biggest soccer stars in North America are coming to Tampa Bay in February to participate in the Tampa Bay Rowdies Suncoast Invitational, a brand-new preseason exhibition series unlike any the Tampa Bay area has ever hosted. Some big-time rugby sevens is making its way to St. Pete this Halloween. A rumor circulated around the Saturday Morning Market that its organizers would have to find a new home next year as the parking lot at Al Lang Stadium would not be available. Speculation is that Mayor Rick Baker has a plan for the site but will not reveal it until June.
