After three days of not showing up for meetings, including a meeting scheduled for Wednesday with a member of the St. Petersburg City Council, the (un)official word from Deputy Mayor Tish Elston is that Go Davis is on vacation. At least that is what she told a television reporter yesterday. Of course, Ms. Elston did not return my call.  Maybe because she’s tired of making excuses for Davis’ erratic behavior. Young turks lining up for plum City of St. Petersburg lobbying job

At least 95 individuals have applied for the City of St. Petersburg’s governmental relations manager position, according to application documents obtained from a public information request made last week. The effervescent Laura Boehmer has resigned from her position as the City of St. Petersburg’s full-time lobbyist, less than five weeks after Mayor Bill Foster took office.
