For the second consecutive year, the Florida Lottery is reporting record sales, posting $467 million in revenue for August. This all-time high was an increase of 5.29 percent over last year’s August record. IGT wins Florida Lottery contract

International Game Technology (IGT) on Thursday announced it had won a deal with the Florida Lottery to provide new hardware. IGT will provide the Florida Lottery with retailer terminals, in-store signage, self-service lottery vending machines, self-service ticket checkers and an upgraded communications network. Florida Lottery breaking ticket sales records

The Florida Lottery set “an all-time record high” of $467 million in ticket sales for August, the agency announced. This comes after the agency reported having the best-ever July — the first month of the state’s fiscal year — for sales. In a Tuesday press release, the Lottery said the August figure also was roughly five percent higher than last August’s sales.
