The St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated a productive 2015 during its annual meeting Thursday night at Mahaffey Theater. Batons were passed. Backs were patted. New ideas were shared. Hot on the heels of announcing a 22-story apartment building in downtown St. Pete, news of another just west of it broke Tuesday morning. Bar in Grand Central is latest Nuisance Abatement target

There’s a new offender on the St. Pete Nuisance Abatement radar. City Council member Amy Foster posted on Facebook Thursday night that a Something Different employee was arrested on narcotics charges as a result of activity in the Central Avenue bar between 24th and 25th Street. St. Pete will play host to an annual meeting of Florida Main Streets this August. The Florida Main Street Conference will be at the Vinoy August 17-19 for the program’s 30th anniversary.
