Barbara Banno continues to out-raise incumbent Gulfport Mayor Sam Henderson

Barbara Banno has so far outraised incumbent Gulfport Mayor Sam Henderson by about double in her bid to unseat him. Banno has raised more than $22,000 as of February 26th while Henderson has brought in just over $11,000. Despite the fundraising lead though, both candidates are left with about $6,000 in the bank with less than two weeks to go before the March 15th election. Gulfport Vice Mayor Yolanda Roman is setting the record straight on an altercation that occurred last month on the dais between her and Mayor Sam Henderson. During a recent Gulfport City Council meeting Mayor Sam Henderson and Vice Mayor Yolanda Roman had a bit of a go at one another over the Clam Bayou sewage dump last year. Stetson University College of Law is hosting Gulfport mayoral candidates Sam Henderson, the incumbent, and Barbara Banno at a town hall forum Thursday in the school’s Mann Lounge.
