In one of the most contentious race in the Tampa Bay region, Pat Frank crushed Kevin Beckner in the Democratic primary for Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Courts. With all 340 precincts reporting, Frank defeated Beckner, 59 percent to 41 percent. The 86-year-old Frank has held the position since 2004, but was faced with a serious opponent in Beckner, who is term-limited out of office in November after eight years on the county commission. Consumer attorney and former television personality Eric Seidel announced healthy fundraising numbers in his campaign for Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Court.
