Former Republican Party Chairman Jim Greer was arrested today for charges stemming from an investigation into how he spent committee funds during his tenure. While the arrest presents obvious problems for Greer, it could also hurt his former close ally, Gov. Charlie Crist, who left the Republican Party in April to mount an independent bid for the Senate.
