Republicans Larry Ahern and Chris Latvala have taken big leads when it comes to financing their reelection campaigns. With June fundraising figures in, Ahern, who holds the HD 66 seat, had raised $9,585 bringing his overall total to $91,216. While the August special session stymied fundraising efforts last month, new fundraising reports for a trio of Pinellas County state House races show incumbent Republicans are well prepared for 2016. St. Petersburg Republican state Rep. Larry Ahern brought in $10,100 in August for his District 66 re-election effort, his second best month since launching the campaign.
