Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark is right. Opponents of early voting, such as the St. Petersburg Times, are wrong. The numbers do not lie: in March of 2001, more than 34% of voters turnout to choose the Mayor of St. Petersburg. 34% is not an especially impressive showing, but it’s certainly better than the 26% who turned-out earlier this month.
