The St. Petersburg City Council was advised this week not to meet with a coalition of businessmen and community leaders who are recommending that the Tampa Bay Rays need a new baseball stadium. Times’ Aaron Sharockman promoted to cover Florida for PolitiFact

Looks like the editors at the Times have opened up the books and decided Aaron Sharockman deserves to be a made guy. After the St. Petersburg Mayoral Campaign, Sharockman will begin his new duties, covering Florida politics for the Times‘ Pulitzer prize-winning PolitiFact.
