This saltshaker test will be short on originality and long on quotes. Monday’s Mason-Dixon poll results of both Democratic and Republican primaries for U.S. Senate apparently come from the same survey of “500 registered Republican voters and 500 registered Democratic voters.” So in assessing its validity/reliability, we will offer our first quote from a recent – and quite telling – comment from Judge George Reynolds: ”Both dishes came out of the same kitchen.” Our second quote comes from our own earlier…

The Times isn’t the only source with for exclusive polling information. I’ve obtained a copy of a comprehensive voter survey of 400 registered St. Petersburg voters. I’ll be sharing the results of this survey throughout the week. According to a survey of 400 registered voters in the City Council districts with an active race, almost 36% of respondents said they intended to vote by mail, a number that would represent a record number of early voters.
