Jason Brodeur says it’s time to call a truce on gay adoption controversy

On Thursday, the Florida House passed Sanford Republican Jason Brodeur’s controversial “conscience protection” bill. The legislation would allow private adoption agencies whose “written religious or moral convictions” do not permit children in their care to be adopted by gays or lesbians to refuse to make such placements.
