Confirmed: St. Petersburg Times dropping lawsuit fighting City of St. Petersburg’s solicitation ban

***Updated – 5:48 p.m.*** The Times is now running a story also confirms my report, although there is still no comment from Times Publishing Co. ***Updated – 3:38 p.m.*** Spoke with Councilman Jeff Danner who confirms my earlier account that he was told by City Attorney John Wolfe that the Times is seeking to drop the lawsuit so long as the City does not seek compensation for legal expenses. — Hearing, just hearing, that the  Times Publishing Co. has dropped the…
