For the USF Bulls, Hope is gone. Co-offensive coordinator Danny Hope has left the USF team to be closer to his family, making another defection from coach Willie Taggart‘s staff. USF’s Willie Taggert looks to junior colleges for defensive end talent

Four-star signees receiver Darnell Salomon and safety Craig Watts highlighted a USF recruiting class that finished 65th in the nation, according to 247sports.com. Given the youth of the Bulls, there were bigger classes than the Bulls. Still, there was help available. Frank Johnson, a defensive end from Hines Community College, should be able to help quickly. Teammate LaDarrius Jackson is also coming. A third junior college defensive end, Tramal Ivy, is coming from Butler Junior College.

They didn’t reach the AAC championship game, but Saturday was an enjoyable day for Willie Taggart and the USF Bulls. Taggart signed a five-year extension with the Bulls. His new salary, and possibly his new buyout number, were not announced. Taggart was on the hot seat earlier in the season after a 1-3 start. But the Bulls won seven of their last eight to finish second in their division. The finish got Taggart an interview with South Carolina on Friday.
