TallyMadness: Bill Rubin vs. Monica Rodriguez match-up looks like it’s going down to the wire

There’s just something special about those #15 seeds.

On the same weekend #15 seed Florida Gulf Coast University knocked off #2 seed Georgetown as part of March Madness, #15 seed Monica Rodriguez — who, it was first reported on SaintPetersBlog, will soon be joining Ballard Partners — is all but tied with #2 seed Bill Rubin in their first-round TallyMadness match-up.

TallyMadness is an online voting competition to determine Florida’s “best” lobbyist.

The Rubin vs. Rodriguez match-up was the most trafficked face-off on Saturday, with more 2,200 votes cast during the day. At last count, Rodriguez has the narrowest of leads over Rubin, 50.1 to 49.9 percent.

Can Rodriguez maintain this lead? Perhaps she should put on an FGCU T-shirt and hope the underdog trend remains strong.
